Amazing experience. If you are in New York and looking for Filipino food this is the place to be. Ordered lumpiang shanghai, ginisang ampalaya, grilled tuna belly, barbeque and grilled longganisa. Ate Luz was so nice and sweet and we enjoyed eating there.

Wonderful dining experience. The sizzling sisig is a must eat dish! Kare kare and the Calamansi Juice were worthy trying! Highly recommend this authentic Filipino restaurant.

We ordered the garlic fried rice, Lumpiang Shanghai, spicy goat meat with tomato sauce, and fried butterfish. The garlic fried rice and Lumpiang Shanghai were enjoyable, but the biggest disappointment was the fish, it had a noticeably fishy smell that made it hard to eat. We went on a Friday evening, but it wasn’t busy. Service was alright, though we had to go up to the counter to get our bill because our server wasn’t paying attention and was on her phone. Overall, the food and service were just okay, and I wouldn’t go back.

Not a fan of the waitress’ attitude to start with. Being a smart ass and ignorant without patience is not pleasant. Was excited to try the food here and that’s the first impression you give. I still ordered plenty of food: 6 dishes to try since that’s what I came here for. The service became much better after that sour taste. Food Was delicious.

I’ve been to this place several times and have never been disappointed by the food. The quality is great, and the prices are amazing honestly, it’s hard to believe a restaurant like this still exists in NYC at this price point. I’ve mentioned this before: when customers are expected to pack their own leftovers, it does take away a bit from the service experience. That said, considering how affordable everything is, it’s somewhat understandable. If they were ever able to improve that part of the service, it would make the experience even better, though I don’t necessarily expect it to change since it’s how they’ve operated for a long time.
